On Friday we had lots of fun exploring how to use puffy paint. We made our own paint with flour, water, salt and coloured paint. It was so much fun to use especially when we put our fingers into it. It felt very cold and a little bit sticky.
what a great way to explore colour and texture!! Isabella enjoyed that very much and we love her puffy paint picture. recipe please :-)!! Claudia (Isi.s mum)
Hi Claudia I think I had just as much fun ! The recipe is very simple and lots of fun. You can get really messy and take it outside too!
Recipe for Puffy Paint 1 Tablespoon Self Raising Flour 1 Table Spoon Salt 3 Teaspoons Water Food Colouring
Continually mix the ingredients with a paint brush until all ingredients have combined well into a paste. You the put the paintings into the microwave to puff up. Times vary between microwaves so you may need experiment. Ours took about 30secs. Top Tip- put the paintings in one at a time on top of microwaveable bowl.
